  • Glad to hear your son is on the mend. And as for his "imaginary" friend, I swear I have nothing to do with it.. yeah, nothing to do with it.. uhh, yeahhhhh, that's the ticket...

  • What's that smell?

  • Hey Brad,

Is it the glue you're sniffing? What's that supposed to mean???

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 10:39 AM

  • Oops. I had two web pages open and posted to the wrong blog.
Apparently it is the glue I'm sniffing.

  • Here's the post that I meant to make...

The next time you are invited to a family barbequeue, rather than ask what you can take, and before they can make suggestions, blurt out "Great, I'll bring a desert", and don't give them a chance to talk you out of it. Then show up with buns and the desert (or salad or whatever).

  • Brad in Alberta has it right except blurt out whatever it is that YOU want to bring. I suggest the Roadkill Kebabs. Ummm, tasty!

Imaginary friends are par for the age you son is in. However, if he still has them in college, I would take away his computer games and MySpace account and send him out to a singles bar.

I think this show is also a record low on number of apologies, but I could be wrong. "-)

  • Hey Brad,

When you bring the desert, how to you carry the sand?

And where do the camels go?

I think the glue fumes are still getting to you...

  • I saw Stompin' Tom in Toronto when Conan O'Brien was here...awesome! It was a dream come true.

Of course, The Hanson Brothers also do a rippin' version of The Hockey Song. Check it out ya'll:

    Cheers

  • Anonymous, what are you talking about, "camels"?

Dave, The Hanson Brothers were my introduction to Stompin Tom (via Karen on both fronts). We've got all their CDs. Lucky you, you got to see him. Was that a taping of Conan or a seperate show he did independent of the Conan appearance?

  • Whoa, for a minute there I thought you were talking about the "MMMMMMbop" band, Ross.

  • Hanson Brothers

Though I have to admit, I'm curious to hear the "new" Hanson. I think they now have indie cred or something like that.

  • Hey Ross,

Just raggin' on Brad since he typed desert when he clearly meant dessert....

The camel reference was obviously not a well placed reference...

I'll do my best to be smarter.

  • Heh heh. Yeah, we love the Ernest "Tubbs". Hmm. Yeah. :) Jason from the Nobodies

  • Ross and Karen are my imaginary friends. I hear their voices in my head every week.

  • I saw Stompin' Tom ON Conan when he came to Toronto to tape the show for a week. It was awesome.

    There's more about it here:

By the way...The (hockey) Hanson Brothers rule. I've seen them in Toronto about 3 or 4 times, and once in Dublin, Ireland for a few numbers during a NoMeansNo show (guess they were in town at the same time..heh heh).

    Ahhhh I miss live music.

  • Bonk, anything over Caillou, true enough.

Roman = Harry Dean Stanton, the only thing about that show I really like.
